AnomicFTPD is an RFC959-compliant FTP server with OS- independent user and group management. Active and passive modes, non-root mode, and anonymous and/or read-only modes are supported. A built-in client IP filter acts as a firewall and provides additional access limitation. The server has no online interface; attributes, groups, and user accounts are configured through text files. Libsqlfs is a library used in conjunction with SQLite that allows applications to put an entire read/write file system into a relational database as a single file in the host filesystem. Such a filesystem-in-a-file can easily be moved around, backed up, or restored as a single file. The filesystem can also be accessed as individual files through FUSE (File System in User Space). This provides great flexibility and convenience. File system accesses can be batched into atomic transactions (either all the updates are done, or none of them are). Libsqlfs was created as part of the "ACCESS Linux Platform", and it will be useful in many other applications.

Tagsistant is a semantic filesystem for Linux and BSD kernels. It uses directories as tags and allows file tagging by simply putting files inside desired tag directories. The path you are walking by is your query, e.g. tagsistant/tag1/AND/tag2/OR/tag3/AND/tag2/. Being a low level interface, a filesystem can be instantly used by shell users, file managers, or CGI. A plug-in architecture is under development to add autotagging functionality for common files like .mp3, .ogg, .jpeg, .html, and .xml. A transparent ontology engine is also under development to allow users create a relationship schema between directories.
